Assignment 8

Road trip from Sacramento to Las vegas

I, Josh and Kyle had an idea of a road trip. We were thinking about driving from our hometown Sacramento to Las Vegas. So today here we are at Sacramento at my Kyles house packing everything we need. So we took some food, tents, swimming gear, fishing equipment and clothes. When we were just about to leave Kyles house his car had broke. But we fixed it in an hour so it doesn't matter. We drove thru midtown and stopped by a seven-eleven to grab some drinks. We thought it was cool to stop by the American River. The river was very beautiful but there was a bit cold because it was an evening. There was this like the smell of nature. We went fishing by the river and Kyle caught a huge fish so we placed a campfire down and cooked it. The fish was great. It was getting late so we thought it would be best to stay the night there.

 In the morning we all went swimming for a little freshener. We packed our stuff and kept driving towards Las Vegas. On the road, we were talking about all of these cool things that we were gonna do when we'll be at Las Vegas. We had driven about over an hour so we stopped by alder greek to look at the landscape. We continued our road trip after relaxing for a while. We drove like 3 more hours and stopped by a casino to spend our money. At the Red Hawk casino, Kyle won a huge prize of 20 000 dollars. We were so happy about that and now we actually thought about living in Las Vegas for a while. At this point, we knew the road trip was gonna be the best road trip for our lives. 

Then we continued driving. We stopped by Apple hill and placed our tent on the top of the hill.  In the morning we all packed our stuff and continued the trip. We drove through a couple of cities. I don't remember their names quite well but I think they were Bridgeport, Benton, and Cartago. Near Cartago, there was this Coso Range wilderness area and we set up our camping site there we placed down a campfire and fried some marshmallows. When we went to sleep we heard weird noises outside the tent. I looked outside it was a grizzly bear. I whispered to tell Kyle that we were in danger. Josh was sleeping in the other tent. I and Kyle quickly ran inside our Jeep. Josh woke up and we screamed that he needed to the Jeep as quickly as possible. We didn't sleep that night anymore because we thought that the grizzly bear would still be in the area.

In the morning we packed our tents and stuff and kept on driving towards Las vegas very shocked about what just happened. We stopped by a gas station to buy some drinks for us because it was very warm that day. We drove straight 6 hours because we were so shocked about the bear and thats why we weren't going to spend even one more day in the wild. We finally got to Las Vegas and went to a five-star hotel called Wynn Las Vegas. The hotel was super fancy. We were grateful to be with each other.
